# FindADoctor.si France

> Helps AI agents find doctors in France for the person they work for: who practises a specialty near a place, who states a condition or procedure as their expertise, each practice's address, phone and Assurance Maladie fee category (Secteur 1, Secteur 2, OPTAM), official extra competences and university diplomas, and which hospitals and clinics perform a procedure most. Free during the trial; no sign-up. Results name the sources and read dates behind them. Not medical advice; in an emergency call 15 (SAMU) or 112.

About this service, for people and agents: https://findadoctor.si/fr/

## One MCP address for every country
- https://api.findadoctor.si/mcp serves France, New Zealand and the United States: there, pass `country=FR` to search_doctors, list_specialties and about_database (get_doctor reads the country from the doctor id, `fr_` = France; hospital_procedure_volumes is France only). The France-only address below needs no `country`.
- Decide the country first: where the person wants to see a doctor, from the place they mention or what you know about where they live. If nothing settles it (no place given, or a place name used in more than one country, such as Paris, Texas, or Hamilton, with no other clue), ask the person before searching. Do not guess, and do not search every country.
- Every country: https://findadoctor.si/llms.txt

## What it has
- Every doctor in the official RPPS register (Annuaire Santé, open data extract of 2026-10-12; about 267,000 with a practice or active record): specialty, practice addresses and phones, setting and role, official extra competences, university diplomas (DU/DIU). Plus about 8,000 doctors only in the Ameli directory.
- The Assurance Maladie (Ameli) directory (extract of 2026-10-12): fee category per practice (Secteur 1 = standard fees; Secteur 2 = may charge extra; OPTAM = agreed to limit extra fees; Non conventionné), Carte Vitale.
- About 10,000 doctors with a Maiia or hospital profile page (American Hospital of Paris, CHU de Toulouse, Centre Léon Bérard, Institut Mutualiste Montsouris, Fondation Rothschild, CHU Grenoble Alpes), read in October 2026: stated expertise and procedures (about 5,900), hospital department and role, qualifications, languages, consultation fees, online booking, video consultations, with links to the pages. Profile text itself is not reproduced.
- Open CCAM (ATIH): acts per hospital site and CCAM code per year, 2021-2025, about 1,600 sites (hospital stays and day cases only; per hospital, not per surgeon).
- Transparence Santé declarations by drug and device companies about each doctor (agreements, benefits, payments), in get_doctor only, shown as declared: Transparence Santé (Ministère chargé de la santé), https://www.transparence.sante.gouv.fr/ , export downloaded 2026-10-14 from https://www.data.gouv.fr/datasets/transparence-sante , licence CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 (non-commercial, share-alike; reuse for the transparency purpose of the dataset). Not evidence of expertise or wrongdoing; never used for ranking or filtering.
- Not here: Doctolib and AP-HP pages, appointment availability, reviews, waiting times, per-doctor procedure volumes, mobile numbers and e-mails. Most doctors have only official data (specialty, address, fee category): say so, and use the web (Doctolib, the practice) for booking, availability and languages.
- Ranking: with a need, by how directly the doctor's own data matches it (stated expertise first, then official competences and diplomas, then hospital department or training, then the specialty name; then, for a condition few doctors list, doctors in the specialty that usually treats it; then some of the words). Not by quality, outcomes, fees or industry links.

## Use it (pick one)
- MCP server (Streamable HTTP, no sign-in): https://api-fr.findadoctor.si/mcp
Tools: search_doctors (free short list), get_doctor (evidence for up to 10 doctors at once), hospital_procedure_volumes (free), list_specialties, about_database. Server card: https://api-fr.findadoctor.si/mcp/server-card
- JSON API (GET, no sign-in): OpenAPI at https://api-fr.findadoctor.si/openapi.json. Example: https://api-fr.findadoctor.si/api/v1/search?need=endom%C3%A9triose&place=Lyon

## How care works in France (tell the person when it matters)
- Adults get the best reimbursement when a declared GP (médecin traitant) refers them to a specialist (parcours de soins). Gynaecologists, ophthalmologists, psychiatrists and stomatologists can be seen directly as long as a GP is declared, and so can dentists; under-16s are reimbursed normally without a referral (service-public.gouv.fr).
- Secteur 1 doctors charge the standard fee; Secteur 2 doctors may charge more, and OPTAM doctors agree to limit their extra fees; top-up insurance (mutuelle) often covers part of the extra. Confirm the fee with the practice.

## Steps
1. search_doctors (or /api/v1/search): free short list for a need (condition or procedure, French or English; common English words are also searched in French), a specialty (French or English), a place (city, postcode, arrondissement such as Paris 15, département number such as 69 or 2A, or a practice or hospital name; a text match, not a distance search), a name, or a hospital site (hospital_finess). Filters: gender, language, fee_sector (secteur_1, secteur_1_or_optam, secteur_2), online_booking, teleconsultation (the last three only know doctors with a profile page). Each result: name, specialties, up to 3 practices, fee sectors, OPTAM, match_basis, register, warnings, and what get_doctor adds (detail_has). Up to 10 per search; paging stops at 30: narrow the need or the place instead.
2. get_doctor (or /api/v1/doctors): the evidence: RPPS number, official specialties, competences and diplomas, every practice with address, phone and fee category, stated expertise and procedures, languages, fees, booking, source links, and industry_links (Transparence Santé). Recommend from this, not from the short list. Doctors that do not fit in one reply come back under not_returned_yet, already counted, so ask again for them at no extra cost.
- Surgery or a procedure: hospital_procedure_volumes (or /api/v1/procedure-volumes?procedure=cataract&place=Lyon) shows which hospitals and clinics nearby perform it most per year, and the CCAM acts it added up (check they fit). Then search_doctors with hospital_finess (salaried hospital doctors) or with the hospital's postcode and the specialty (self-employed surgeons at private clinics).
- Tell the person to confirm fees, availability and booking (Doctolib or the practice), and registration on annuaire.sante.fr.

## Daily limits for get_doctor (different doctors opened per UTC day; the same doctor again that day is free)
- Claude and ChatGPT apps (recognized by the network addresses Anthropic and OpenAI publish): ChatGPT 100 per user; Claude a shared allowance for all its users.
- Other connections without an account: 5 per network address.
- With an account key (`Authorization: Bearer dk_...`): 100 per account. During the trial accounts are by invitation: contact@findadoctor.si.
- The free short list and hospital procedure volumes have no doctor limit; requests are limited to 30 a minute and 300 a day per network address without an account (60 and 1000 with one).
- When a limit is reached the reply says so and when it resets; tell the person if that limits the answer.

## Reuse and indexing
- Transparence Santé data (in get_doctor): licence CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. If you pass it on, keep the source, the download date and the licence, do not alter the figures, do not use them commercially, and share adaptations under the same licence. The API and MCP endpoints are closed to search-engine crawlers by robots.txt, and HTTP API responses carry X-Robots-Tag: noindex, as the dataset's reuse terms ask.
- RPPS register: Licence Ouverte / Open Licence 2.0 (Etalab). Ameli directory and Open CCAM: open data, with source and date.

## Privacy
- What you search for (conditions, places, names) is not logged. We keep only daily totals by connection type (numbers only) and, for accounts, daily counts per account.
- Doctors can ask for corrections or removal, or object under the French data protection law (loi n° 78-17 Informatique et Libertés) and the GDPR: https://findadoctor.si/fr/corrections/
